Important Visa-related Note for International Delegates
- Visa requirements: Please note that all foreign nationals entering India are required to possess a valid international travel document in the form of a national passport with a valid visa/eVisa from the Indian government. An e-Visa is the recommended mode of application if your country of origin falls in the list of eligible countries, and can be done completely online. Visa-related information is available at https://indianvisaonline.gov.
in/ . - When: We recommend you do so at the earliest after completing the registration with all the required documents.At the time of registration, please mention if you need invitation letter and we will send an invitation letter.
- Conference Visa: In particular, we strongly advise international delegates who intend applying for a Conference Visa, to register at the earliest. Early registration is important because for this visa category, a prior approval needs to be obtained from the Indian government – the approval has to be attached to your conference visa application. The conference organizers will submit registrant details, taken from the registration form, on a periodic basis in bulk to the authorities and request approval. But we reiterate that early registration is highly recommended since there can be considerable processing delays in some cases.
- Please note that it remains the sole responsibility of the attendee to apply for, complete, and secure the appropriate visa. Any approvals facilitated by the organizers do not guarantee the issuance of a visa; they are intended solely to support the Conference Visa application by enabling the required documentation.
- eVisa link: International delegates can apply for the Conference eVisa via https://indianvisaonline.gov.
in/evisa/. Please note that you will need invitation letter and concerned ministry approval letters. We will be mailing you these. Please check whether the country of which you hold the passport qualifies for the eVisa process. Otherwise, you have to apply through the regular consulate process. The documents we share will be required for that process as well. Please apply soon after we share the invitation letter and ministry approval letters.
